Self-performed scope
Flomar owns and runs 4 NDD hydrovacuum excavation trucks for safe, low-impact excavation around existing services. Crews expose and verify water, gas, power, communications and sewer services before mechanical excavation, working in congested corridors and around live or sensitive assets.
What this includes
- Non-destructive hydrovac excavation
- Slit trenching and potholing
- Exposing and verifying water, gas, electrical, telecommunications and sewer services for depth and alignment
- Survey, design and as-constructed verification
- Cable, conduit and small-pipe trenches in restricted areas
- Pole hole and post hole excavation near existing underground assets
- Cleaning pits, manholes, culverts, drains and sumps
- Slurry and debris removal
- Exposing tree roots for arborist inspection and root-sensitive work
- Excavation for footings and foundations near existing structures
- Excavation in frozen or hard ground using heated or high-pressure water
Our own crews, plant and method
Prove the ground first, then dig. Our NDD fleet potholes and slit-trenches ahead of the mechanical excavation in our power, telecoms and drainage scopes, producing the verified service locations that major-project permit systems require.
