Cable haulingand installation
Hauling, jointing and termination of power, telecommunications and rail cabling up to 33kV.
Self-performed scope
33kV
Flomar installs all types of utility cabling across the power, telecommunications and rail sectors. Each pull is engineered to cable size, length and the manufacturer's tension and bending-radius limits, with a detailed route assessment of bends, inclines and friction before a drum turns. Our crews use cable winches, trailers and drum stands matched to each pull. The scope runs past the pull: jointing, trifurcation and termination to network standards (Ausgrid NS177), and post-installation testing - insulation resistance and VLF on power cores, OTDR on fibre.
What this includes
- Cable winches, trailers and drum stands
- Power cable up to 33kV
- Jointing, trifurcation and termination to Ausgrid NS177
- Fibre-optic and communications cable, terminated and tested
- Open trench, conduit and hazardous environments
Our own crews, plant and method
Every pull is engineered before a drum turns: we plan to cable size, length and the manufacturer's tension and bending-radius limits, with a route assessment of bends, inclines and friction. Our own winches, cable trailers and drum stands then haul the run - in open trench, conduit or hazardous environments - and the install is jointed, terminated, tested and documented before handover.
Plant & method
- Cable winches
- Cable trailers and drum stands
- Route tension and bending-radius assessment
