Project overview

The Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone program adds network transfer capacity between Kurri Kurri and Muswellbrook, anchored by two new subtransmission switching stations near Muswellbrook.

What Flomar self-performs

D57 early civil works (bulk earthworks)

Site-wide clearing, grubbing and topsoil stripping across both station sites
Cut-and-fill bulk earthworks forming level pads at both station sites
Site compounds, hardstands, internal haul roads and access-road widening with spray seal
Erosion and sediment controls, temporary drainage and subgrade proof-rolling ahead of structural works by others

Combined inground services + FRP cable trenches

Stormwater and subsurface drainage - RCP and HDPE pipe, precast pits, headwalls and scour protection
Site-wide hydraulic services - potable water, sewer, recycled water and fire mains with testing and commissioning
Trenching and installation of heavy-duty electrical, communications and security conduits with mandrel, rope and CCTV proving
Form, reo, pour concrete cable trenches with steel trench covers
Potholing and vacuum-excavation service location within 5m of the work zones
